VMR Brisbane provides a `first response' emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and our base is strategically located at Shorncliffe, adjacent to Brisbane Airport and the Port of Brisbane. A very high priority is placed on all aspects of training including marine operations, first aid, marine radio, bar crossing and emergency search and rescue procedures.

Volunteer Duty Crews maintain a vessel monitoring service every weekend and public holiday from 0600 to 1700 hrs.

After hours calls are attended to by our Emergency Standby Crew. We assist Brisbane Water Police with Search and Rescue and assist Brisbane Ambulance crews with Medivacs.

VMR Brisbane supplies a free `Log On and Log Off' service to the boating public. Boaties will be contacted by our staff by marine radio or mobile if you have not returned by your stated time.

Volunteer Marine Rescue Brisbane Inc is a non-profit volunteer organisation whose primary purpose is to provide marine search and rescue services to the boating public in Moreton Bay and surrounding waterways. We are an affiliated squadron of Marine Rescue Queensland.
